The Reentry Coach will work as part of a multidisciplinary team in our evidence based Intensive Reentry Program. The Reentry Coach will travel to and enter correctional facilities to work with participants in the Reentry program. This position requires a background in psychology, sociology, criminal justice, social work, human services, or related fields of study.
The Board will support the work of OAR and provide mission-based leadership and strategic governance. While day-to-day operations are led by OAR’s chief executive officer (CEO), the Board-CEO relationship is a partnership, and the appropriate involvement of the Board is both critical and expected. Specific Board Member responsibilities include:
Unpaid full-time (30 hours or more at least four full days a week) internship opportunities are available every semester and offer students a unique experience within the social services field. Positions may include: Case Manager of court-ordered Community Service clients, Reentry Services Specialist, Reentry Employment Advisor, and Social Media and Communication Specialist, among many others. Internship candidates:
Will have a professional interest in offender services or the criminal justice system
Express a desire to work for a nonprofit agency
Be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate school program focused in sociology, psychology, social work, criminal justice or a related discipline
