The OAR community service program has developed instructional courses in cooperation with the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court, the District Court and the Arlington County Community Corrections Unit. These programs are designed as a form of alternative sentencing for first-time offenders. The classes meet during evening hours convenient to students and working adults.
You and the Law
This class is grounded in the belief that youth often become involved in negative behavior because they do not fully understand the consequences of their actions and lack good problem solving skills.
Living in a New Land
Jointly sponsored by Offender Aid and Restoration and the Arlington Community Corrections Unit, Living in a New Land is offered in Spanish and intended for Hispanic adults who have only recently arrived in the United States
