Joel emailed OAR to share that he had excelled in his summer and winter classes and now has ALL A’s and ONE B! He stated that “I do feel OAR is part of my family. It is wonderful to have so many friends who are in the interest of doing good in the community and making the world a better place. OAR is a wonderful program and I wish that every prisoner would know about it and actually believe the representatives that come speak to them. I remember when I first heard about OAR I didn't really believe there was an organization that would actually help inmates (just as the majority of inmates believe), but now I know better. Maybe one day, I will be allowed to speak on behalf of OAR to inmates as a GMU graduate and let them know that OAR is real and I am a living example. I hope to tell this to them one day.”
