OAR’s Executive Director, Gail Arnall, was featured on Kojo Nnamdi’s radio program on November 17, 2010 to discuss the need to “ban the box” requiring job applicants to indicate they have a criminal record. “We just want to level the playing field,” Arnall said. “Once qualified applicants have a chance to qualify for an interview, then the employer can ask about the criminal record – assuming such information is critical to the job opening being filled.”
