OAR Refund & Cancellation Policy

OAR reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any training event due to inevitable reasons and unprecedented causes such as insufficient registrations or circumstances beyond our control (for example, the social distance/gathering restrictions implemented during the COVID-19 pandemic). All the attendees will be notified about the cancellation of the event, no later than 48 hours prior to the start date of the training event.

Upon such cancellation, registered attendees will get a full refund of the amount paid in a single settlement.

Or alternatively, the attendees can opt for any one of the below (however OAR will not be responsible for any penalties or other expenditure incurred due to the cancellation):

  • If the attendees wish to take a different training, which has the same price at a future date & time, they are welcome to do so. In such an event, please email racialjustice@oaronline.org and indicate that you would like your registration fee to be applied to a later training date.
  • If the attendees wish to opt-out of a refund and instead, “donate” their registration fee towards OAR’s programs, they are welcome to do so. In such an event, please email racialjustice@oaronline.org and indicate that you would like to cancel your attendance, but would like your registration fee to be donated towards OAR’s programs instead.

Individual attendees can reschedule or cancel their registration for any specific reason. However, they must notify OAR about the cancellation of their registration at least two working days prior to the event start date. In order to receive a full refund for your registration, you must reschedule or cancel a month in advance. Any rescheduling or cancellation after that will incur an automatic fee of $75.00 and if OAR is unable to fill your spot with someone from the waitlist to take your place, we will not be able to issue a refund of the rest of the funds.

If the attendee fails to cancel their registration for the training event within the two working day period prior to the event start date, no attempt will be made by OAR to fill the registration and therefore no refund shall be made.
OAR’s failure to enforce any provisions of its Cancellation Policy shall not be construed as a waiver of the right to assert any such terms on any future occasion.

For further clarification on the refund or cancellation policy, you can contact OAR at racialjustice@oaronline.org. Please include your name and your registered training date in the subject of the email.
